He has been interviewed and featured in magazines and newspapers worldwide and has also appeared on TV and radio programs. He is one of the most sought-after speakers at corporate conferences, schools and universities worldwide, giving lectures to groups of several hundred people. Buzan was the President of the South African Professional Speakers Association (SAPS), a member of its Board of Management, and he also served on the Board of Trustees for the National Institute for Clinical Linguistics (NCL). He was a Trustee of the FNB Speakers Bureau, a member of the Board for R&S Communications and Fundraising and a member of the Advisory Committee for the South African Institute for Clinical Linguistics (SAICL).
